Inspired by the New Pornographers and early Weezer, power pop group the Mood originally started off in the Fort Lauderdale area before moving north to New York City. After some lineup changes, Marco Argiro (vocals, guitar), Corinne Callen (vocals, glockenspiel, keyboards), Kenton Langstroth (guitar), Chris Bunatta (drums), and Brian Karp (bass) began playing in venues throughout New York City, which led to appearances at SXSW and CMJ, as well as sets with Simian Mobile Disco, This Is Ivy League, and the Night Watchmen. In 2008, the Mood recorded and self-produced Synaesthesia at Edison Studios. It was released on Outright Rock Records the same year. ~ Katherine Fulton, Rovi
