Toronto-based trio The Mooks combine their jangly, retro rock and roll sound with spirited melodies, colourful guitars and a pounding rhythm section to recall a myriad of influences, taking nods from bygone-era rhythm and blues to gleaming indie rock.
Since 2018, the group has released two EP’s and several singles to positive reviews. The Mooks have showcased at CMW & Indie Week as well as being included in Exclaim! Magazine’s Class of 2020 solidifying their reputation as one of the most exciting, up and coming acts out of Toronto.
In 2020, weeks before worldwide lockdowns - the band started recording new songs with producer/engineer Dean Marino (Tokyo Police Club, Born Ruffians) before taking some time off. They return in 2021 with the new single “Looking Back”, released on September 17th. Stay tuned.
