The Oblivion is an alternative rock band based in Clifton, New Jersey. Started by vocalist/guitarist AJ Knapp and drummer Jack Schaeffer in September 2019 as a cover band, it wasn’t long until they played their first show at The Meatlocker in Montclair NJ in November 2019. Since then, The Oblivion has established itself as a band that everybody can listen to and enjoy, taking elements from all different styles of heavy, fast, and energetic music, including grunge, punk, garage rock, stoner rock, and many others. In April 2021, they released their self-titled debut album “The Oblivion” featuring songs such as “Done with You”, “201-1”, and “I’m Different”. After receiving a great response for their first big release, The Oblivion welcomed bassist Matt Kilroy in April 2021 and guitarist/backup vocalist Marc Maalouf in June 2021. Now, The Oblivion seeks to share their love for music with as many people as possible.
