The Omnitones are an independent alternative rock band from the Western Suburbs of Chicago. They blend their eclectic music tastes to offer a unique and refreshing take on the music they all enjoy. The Omnitones compose, record, and produce their own albums to stay close to their roots and serve each individual song's message. They cover different lyrical themes of folklore, humor, and philosophy between raspy vocals, poppy hooks, and loud guitar solos.
The Omnitones began in the western suburbs of Chicago, formed in 2023. The band consists of Nicholas Tantillo (Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals), Greg Abell (Drums), Sean Riggio (Lead Guitar), Chris Moylen (Bass) and Justin Winterroth (Trumpet, Back-Up Vocals). (Formerly Jesse Mai and Matthew Sikora)
In 2024 The Omnitones made their mark with the release of their debut EP — a raw, genre-blending journey through alt-rock, indie grit, and honest storytelling. Each track offered a new mood, anchored by soaring vocals and textured guitar work. The singles leading up to the EP, including the emotionally-charged Sasquatcher, the dreamy melodic Deep End and the anthemic Midnight Snack set the tone for a breakout year and earned the band a local buzz in the Chicago scene.
The Omnitones are recording their 2nd EP to release in 2025-2026 along with a group of new singles.
