The Open Fold is the creative project of producer Alex McKee, returning after years of quiet evolution. McKee began making electronic music in 2011, building on a love of remixing the songs that shaped his youth. His sound has always been about connection — from bright, 90s roller rink anthems to soaring, choral dance hooks.
Now, he’s back with Glass Sunrise, a lush blend of 90s dance energy, tropical house textures, and gospel-inspired choruses, followed by Dredged Up (Glass Sunrise Part II) — a raw, emotional shift into pop-punk and 2000s rock, featuring McKee’s own vocals.
Together, these records trace a lifelong musical journey: nostalgia, rebellion, and renewal — all folded into sound.
