The Paradise Reals is an alias of Matt Jarrett, a multimedia artist whose work spans across several creative interests, including music production, digital art and film.
Raised in Essex England, Matt began music production in the early nineties. Recording experimental demos, one of which was featured in Future Music magazine. This acted as a launchpad into recording as ‘Spike’. A Breakbeat and Electro fused sound that went onto become influential in the UK Breaks and Bass music scene.
The Paradise Reals project developed these primary influences further to include Detroit Techno. Serving as a foundation for an exploration into both music and visual art. Matt also set up a studio filled with select analogue equipment he’s collected over the years. Rediscovering a ‘Dawless’ workflow to keep the creative process dynamic and interesting.
Why Bomb The Innocent ? serves as a culmination of this journey. The album is notable not only for its bold sonic exploration but also as a provocative commentary on society’s direction, raising questions through both its lyrical content and themes. This latest record stands as an example of Matt’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of dance music in the contemporary era, both in sound and message. His work reflects a desire to fuse multiple art forms, creating an immersive experience that not only moves a dance floor but can provoke thought and engage audiences on multiple levels.
