The Pocket Band

The Pocket Band is taking the Cali-Reggae genre and putting soul behind it. Reminiscent of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, their melodic and catchy lyrics mix with Sublime-influenced instrumentation to create their soulful cali-rock vibe. While their lead singer, Omar Teitelbaum, belts meaningful lyrics showcasing their rock side, their guitarist, Terrence Brown, highlights their reggae influences with his soulful rhythms.

From touring across the United State’s top venues (9:30 Club, DC; Fox Theatre, CO), to playing festivals in both the U.S. and Jamaica (The Air Jamaican Jazz and Blues Festival), The Pocket Band’s performances have a captivating groove that leaves the crowd with a feel good, energetic vibe. The band’s passionate energy is infectious and their crowd interaction leaves fans with the care-free spirit that the talented musicians perform with.

Working with big name producers (Chucky Thompson: Biggie; Kirk Bennett: Elephant Man; Queen Cora Coleman: Prince), The Pocket Band’s music has been heard on streaming platforms and major airways, like Jamaica- Irie FM. They’ve collaborated with artists such as Luciano, Richie Spice, and High Octane and have opened for A-list performers like Sean Paul, Third World and Nora Jones.

2020 is shaping up to be a big year for The Pocket Band. They are currently in the studio working on new songs and collaborating with artists in different genres. They plan to continue touring when scheduled shows and festivals continue.
