Best known for their reoccurring performances on Netflix’s hit show “Virgin River”, The Promised is as a roots band with a little rockabilly flavour.
Their first two releases (“We Could Be in Love” & “Don’t Take Me Down) were licensed to Virgin River’s 2nd season, and they were filmed performing them on the show.
Shortly after, their debut album “Phoenix” was released gaining international acclaim.
In the following years, the Promised opened for artists such as Jason Aldean, Orville Peck, Randy Bachman, and Jade Eagleson, at festivals across BC and Alberta.
Their song "Lose It All" was chosen by CTV for their new show "Sullivan's Crossing", and they rewrote and recorded the lyrics of this song exclusively for the show. This led to The Promised partnering with Netflix to write, record and license a total of 14 songs for Season 6 of "Virgin River". The band was brought back to the set of Virgin River to perform these songs on the show as the recurring small-town band.
