The Rapports are a five-piece Indie Rock outfit from Brighton, England. Wearing their love of 90s Britpop and 00s Indie proudly on their sleeves, the band formed in 2016 during singer Tom Skilton’s days studying Sculpture at Art School. They have since gone from strength to strength, emerging as a spearheading force to bring Indie Rock back to its former glory.
The band’s fortune took a major turn on a fateful night out in Brighton city centre. In a drunken moment of inspiration and madness, singer Tom Skilton decided to embark on a spontaneous journey across the channel to Dieppe, France. The details of what happened next remain hazy, but the frontman returned to his homeland having established The Rapports a place on the roster of record label NOA Music.
The Rapports spent the following months and years delicately crafting their first two albums, “Taking Off” and “A Life In A Suitcase” recording at 4A Sound Factory in Normandy, France under the guidance of producers Andrew Lyden (Bob Marley, Buzzcocks, U2) and David Konopknicki. Packed full to the brim with feel-good anthems and heart-stirring ballads. They have received hugely positive reviews, culminating with an appearance in legendary Rolling Stone Magazine, Rock N Folk Magazine and BBC Introducing.
Currently preparing their next wave of singles and third album due for release in the coming months, The band promise huge and exciting things in 2025.
