The Real UncleFunky

Born and raised on the funky streets of Oakland , Juan " Uncle Funky" Richardson started playing guitar at age 15. He sought out all genres of music and incorporated as many styles as he could in his playing. This enabled him to perform with a large variety of bands and musicians, from the metal bands Shadow Beat Ritual and Brother Tough Love, to ska punk legend Angelo Moore, to bay area underground kings of Klown Fi Gooferman , and R&B singer Carmen Jones. He also added music to Oakland's own Punany Poets. All this has lead him back to his roots , the Blues. On his new album Poly Supa-Phonic love songs, he mixes Blues, Funk and Rock, to tell stories about the ups and downs of Polyamory.
