The Red Jacks is a three piece indie punk rock band based in the north of France that came to life in late 2019, right before the pandemic. It is composed by Alicia Poznic (age 19, guitar/vocals), Valentin Goubet (age 24, bass) and Adrien Pelissier (age 19, drums).
Freshly formed, the trio had to learn about each other as a band and as individuals through screen. Despite these restrictions, The Red Jacks managed to develop a strong bond and make music.
In February 2021, The Red Jacks released their first demo “Tripping”, a groovy-rock song to make people dance through the pandemic.
Evolving under the influence of bands such as Nirvana, The White Stripes or Paramore, the band always had an open definition of their genre, making grunge, garage rock, pop rock or punk songs..
Growing up in a rebellious and liberated generation, the bands tells their stories through outspoken and unapologetic songs without imposing any barriers on what to do or say.
In their debut EP “17” released on October 15th of 2021, The Red Jacks talks about that youth, evoking some relatable themes such as alcohol, loneliness and love.
