The Riders were the best band that never was.
In 2003, the Cusimano brothers (Michael & Thomas) turned their condemned house into a flop house for their band, The Riders (w/Scott Leslie, Jimmy Olson and Derik Snell). Set lists & song charts were written on the walls, after all, they were going to be demolished anyway. As the pace of their writing increased, they went into the studio to record their three standout tracks, the ones that would catapult them into the heights of Rock’n’Roll glory! It never saw the light of day…until now.
The how doesn’t matter, nor does the why. The band fell apart like the walls in the living room turned rehearsal studio. A few stayed in touch, and a couple kept playing together still using the Riders name (but it was different). In late 2018, tragedy brought the three song EP back into everyone’s life as Michael lost his battle with cancer at just 41 years old. These three songs were listened too often in the aftermath of Michael’s passing. It represented a period of time and the lost innocence of youth with a full life ahead of you.
Recorded in 2004, this is The Just One Heart EP.
