The Royal Hunt of the Sun is a collaborative project led by guitarist and songwriter Andrew Ryan; the project brings together seven of Waterford’s most prominent musicians. Alongside Andrew, the lineup features Ailise O'Neill (vocals), Calum McGavock (vocals), Seanie Whelan (vocals), Darragh O'Connor (guitar), James Hayes (bass), and Darryl Brazil (drums).
Forged in Ireland’s oldest city, The Royal Hunt of the Sun blends hard rock, blues, heft, driving rhythms, tasty guitar solos, powerful vocals, swagger — and above all, energy. Andrew’s mission is simple: to record and release an album of absolute rock classics (that will promptly shrivel into the Spotify void).
