Since 2024, The Rubber Band has recorded and performed around St. Louis with a thunderous blues/arena rock sound. Lead vocalist Aayan Goyal, the most seasoned live performer of the group, brings a knack for melody and a wistful yet biting delivery. Behind him sits the most intense drummer in St. Louis, Deven Shah, whose power and ear for a groove are the backbone of every song (He also has the fills to pay the bills). With a keen sense of rhythm and style, Clay Edelson - the band’s only genuine senior citizen - brings crackling, melodic bass lines that drive every song. Noah Clark knocks off crisp piano hooks and glassy synthesizer solos, also penning most of the band’s tunes. Rounding out the band with sizzling guitar riffs radiating from his (unbelievably loud) amplifier, “Jazzy” Ethan Carter soars on his lead parts, while still delivering churning rhythm guitar that lends songs a razor-sharp edge. The band released its debut “Slingshot” EP on March 5th, 2025, and intends to release its first album sometime soon (no promises, but it couldn’t take long… An EP only took a year).
