THE RUST BELT was formed October 2020 by Michael Bilinski (PAGAN) and Vex X (STARSKREAM). The duo quickly recruited vocalist Ryan Whyte Maloney, a finalist from the sixth season of the hit NBC series THE VOICE as a member of country star Blake Shelton's team. Their first song, TIME, debuted on THE WILL KEENAN TRANSMISSION (WCFA 101.5 FM) the following month. While recording the self titled debut guitarist Bill Lloyd (EDIT/ERASE), BILLBOARD charting rapper Intrinzik (UGH) and Lonny Eagleton (BLACK VEIL BRIDES) were added to the mix.
With traditional touring not being an option, the band focused on creating cinematic videos which have screened in festivals around the world winning numerous awards. A live show is currently in the works
THE RUST BELT is partnered with UK based label THE GENEPOOL to distribute their music via INgrooves / UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP.
