Named after the infamous London club where Jimi Hendrix performed as a then-unknown artist, The Scotch of Saint James, shot to notoriety in the late noughties when they won the coveted triple j Unearthed prize with their sophisticated brand of guitar driven, vintage-tinged rock’n’roll infused with the catchiness of British rock greats The Rolling Stones, The Who and Kula Shaker, and the broody swagger of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Janes Addiction.

The Scotch worked hard to seize every opportunity following their Unearthed win, playing at Southbound, The Big Day Out, V Festival and Groovin The Moo; securing syncs with Shameless (US), Secret Life Of Us (AU), Cops L.A.C. (AU), Rusty Surfwear Worldwide, SLAM Skate Magazine, and Surfing Life Magazine; as well as landing a WA Music Awards nomination. Renowned for their mesmerising live shows the band supported the likes of Tame Impala, Kasabian, POND, Yves Klein Blue, Violent Soho, Children Collide, and many others. They toured nationally four times and released three albums and an E.P. cementing their reputation as a band who were uncompromising in their pursuit of live performance and songwriting perfection.
