The Selfish Cales was born on 2010, thanks to a lucky meetings on the web between Andy and Gabriel Cale. Their passionate idea was to bring a complete music reality, also concern to live performances and visual impact. The early months gave the birth of their first two EP's, sign of a simple but close-knit alchemy, followed by many gigs in northern Italy. The sound was still markedly garage, but with Psychedelic shades and a sixties-oriented identity.
During the years, The Selfish Cales changed their line up several times, which will bring to the entrance of Organ, Piano and Mellotron in their sound. The first LP "Light Worms & Old Dancing Ladies" (2013) is the result of this period, with a more mature sound characterized by various influences; here it states the psychedelic character of the band, with several live performances in northern Italy. "Throw Your Watch To The Water" (2015) brings the sitar in the tracklist, with positive feedbacks from the web and press. The third LP is scheduled for 2018, with a completely renewed line up.
The Selfish Cales are faithful to Do It Yourself philosophy: all their music and videos are self-produced. The last line up (2017) is the result of a complete reboot of the project, and Andy Cale is the only original member since the foundation.<br>
