The Serpent Underneath is an up and coming Metal band out of Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania, bringing a new spin to the Metal scene. Their Hardcore inspired music is both tearjerking and face melting! The band officially formed in January of 2023, consisting of members Dom(Lead Guitar) Stewart(Bass Guitar) Derek(Vocals) Ian(Drums) and Jay(Rhythm Guitar).
Derek Dom and Stewart had been planning to start a band since High School. They had to wait quite a few years before they could find their other members. Insert Ian, a kick ass drummer introduced to the others by Stewart. And Jay, a guitarist just trying to find his purpose, who came across Dom at a Halloween party in 2022. However, when the five of them finally decided to dwell and jam in a local basement, they instantly saw chemistry, this group wants to change the game, and kick ass doing it.
After 9 months of playing together, they released their debut single, DTA, a very hardcore groove metal hybrid inspired track fueled with such anger and attitude it has your adrenaline screaming for more and you screaming “Don’t Trust Anyone” with the rest of the band
The song quickly made it’s way to Public Radio in North Eastern Pennsylvania. Within the first week of it’s official release.
The only history left to tell, is in the band’s future forward….
