The Shrink is an alternative/independent project formed in 2024, SoCal. Rooted in punk rock, the artist put out its debut single “Welcome to the Horror Show” on December 1st, also being the lead single to The Shrink’s first EP Raw, which released on February 24th, 2025. On April 5th, the acoustic standalone single “Brother” was released. The full-length debut album Sectors, which marked the project’s first effort in industrial music, released on August 1st; it has spawned two singles: “The March”, and “Scorpion”, which released on May 16th and July 18th, respectively; the latter reached 2k streams.
Aside from material under its own name, The Shrink has also been a performer and the producer for math rock band Chumash, with their debut single “Weird Seven” released on November 25th.
As of 2025, The Shrink continues to manage its own and others’ music under its record label, Splintered Records.
