The Sick Bags

Upon their formation in the summer of 2017 by guitarist Sinan Kaya and the singer Genco K. Erdem, The Sick Bags started creating music to their liking, with strong roots of post-punk and electronica.


They released their first record ‘Bahnhof’ as independent artists in October 2017 and over the course of time, the band and their sound evolved around micro beats, modern synths and distorted guitars.


In April 2018, band released their follow-up record ‘Burn the Bridges’, in which they brought deep vocals and roaring guitars together, with songs that were fueled by custom sets of percussions consisting of the modulated sounds of every day items. The release was followed with a series of live performances in lstanbul’s underground venues. Following a solid Sofar performance, the band released their single ‘Leika’, featuring Deniz Tekin and recorded two more songs, ‘Lighthouse Keeper’ and ‘Blinds’, respectively released on July and September 2019.


During 2020 lockdown, the band recorded and produced a homemade EP called ‘The Secluded Songs Trilogy’. It includes three new songs, drilling the essence of the aforementioned times. It sounds like claustrophobic darkness, silence and entrapment.
