“The Silver Bayonets” are Kabir Sheikh (guitar/vocals), Genevieve Ding (guitar/backing vocals), Glyn Hughes (bass/backing vocals) and Benji Greenstreet (drums).
They play loud, addictive guitar-powered rock with big melodies and sometimes dark lyrics delivered in a down-to-earth British style.
They performed at "Camden Rocks Festival" in 2018 & 2019, were recently credited on Ginger Wildheart's (The Wildhearts) solo album "Headzapoppin", and appeared on the Top 10 Wildhearts album "21st Century Love Songs". Their songs have been played regularly on BBC Introducing and regional BBC radio shows.
2020 saw the band releasing many new tracks which form a 9 part story arc/concept album.
The album "Unfolding" was released in October 2021.....their third full studio album which follows "Braveface" (2018) and "The Pain Inside Your Head" (2015). Coming back after the UK lockdown, new blood in the shape of bassist Glyn Hughes and drummer Benji Greenstreet got the band back onto the live circuit, and the new-look four-piece will be writing new material for release in 2023.
