The Silver Reserve

Matthew Sturgess, who performs as ‘The Silver Reserve’, plays delicate, sparse music on a classical guitar, crafting intricate melodies around thoughtful and evocative lyrics. At times creating dense, layered atmospherics, this is music that doesn’t rush and takes its sweet, sad time to unfurl and sneak under the skin.

Since releasing the eponymous debut album in 2017, the band that created that record has ended and the latest release ‘Slow TV’, an intimate 90-second solo four-track recording, underscores this shift. Further releases are planned, including solo and collaborative recordings taken from various sessions from both studio and home recordings.
