The Sleeping Tree

On the bass with <a href="spotify:artist:0DoxfbAxoISNySf35oVCN5" data-name="Mellow Mood">Mellow Mood</a> since 2005, The Sleeping Tree (real name Giulio Frausin) is one of the curators of <a href="spotify:playlist:7goOeiAJqsutkaqHXf7Vc3" data-name="La Tempesta Dub">La Tempesta Dub</a>, reggae/dub branch of independent label La Tempesta Dischi.


After a first album (<a href="spotify:album:07OzAiA4zvFGloIrfX7NEN" data-name="Leaves and Roots">Leaves and Roots</a>, 2008) released by German net-label 12rec and a self-released EP (<a href="spotify:album:0Jx7kG6H1hKuUhjEn4G8Bj" data-name="Stories">Stories</a>, 2011), he was signed by Italian independent label La Tempesta International. His latest album as The Sleeping Tree, “Painless” was released in 2013. “Colours”, EP containing remixes of his songs by a number of Italian electronic/avant-garde musicians was released in 2015.


After a long hiatus, during which he focused on his band’s and label’s activities, Frausin teamed up with producer Paolo Baldini (La Tempesta Dischi, Pressure Sounds) to record a new full-length album, containing songs written over the past ten years, and to be released at the beginning of 2022.
