Named after the classic trilogy of cyberpunk novels by science fiction author William Gibson, the Sprawl is a collaboration between British experimental grime producers <a href="spotify:artist:7AqtQ161yX7B1509Pq0F6V">Mumdance</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1lqnqqkqnYMrx0kzb0qd8z">Logos</a> and Italian noise/techno artist <a href="spotify:artist:18U1MCeHH1JAqRMHp3aPuv">Shapednoise</a>. As with many of their individual productions, their work as the Sprawl is harsh, loud, and unsettling, with piercing tones and ultra-low bass frequencies ripping through the speakers, sometimes dispensing with rhythm entirely. Lush pads recalling old-school jungle sometimes emerge, but they do little to offset the apocalyptic mayhem. The Sprawl's first release, EP1, appeared on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22The+Death+of+Rave%22">The Death of Rave</a> in 2015.
