The STAKS Band capture the essence of the golden era of Soul and Rock music and deliver it through a high octane and contemporary real band sound; at full throttle. Inspired by, and evocative of, the likes of Joe Cocker [think ‘Mad Dogs & Englishmen’ era], Otis Redding, early Santana and Janis Joplin, this is a band big on character, experience and feelgood factor. They’re also pretty big on numbers; nothing is stinted on to create their massive sound. The STAKS Band create a planet-sized sound with horns, backing vocals and the sheer enjoyment that players get from creating this incredible music is at the heart of everything.
