The Still Point is an instrumental project currently based in Boston, led by guitarist Hayes Cummings and featuring Max Liebman, Alex Dillon, Billy Jewell, and Hunter McKay. The group plays Hayes’s compositions and modern interpretations of existing music from a variety of genres including Americana, jazz, and classical music. They draw inspiration from a diverse history of musicians – Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman, Doc Watson, The Beatles, among others. The Still Point released their debut record, a self-titled acoustic duo album, in the spring of 2020, and their sophomore album, Play Monk, in 2021.
