The Stitch take the sound of a 60’s jazz record on Blue Note and add the tender romance and gritty guitar solos of an Elvis Presley b-side. Improvised and Tasmanian, like all the best things are.
The Stitch’s debut recording maintains the energy and tenacity of the band’s live sound in a tighter and more concise package. A couple of days recording live, directly into an 8-track tape machine salvaged from a WIN television garage sale, setup in a remote studio in North-Eastern Tas, resulted in two funky instrumentals presented in the humble format of a 45RPM vinyl 7’.
