The Stone Hounds are a Long Island alternative-rock band blending modern edge with classic rock soul. Fronted by Dave Dawn (vocals) and backed by the dynamic trio of Justin Haas (guitar), Jay Bevinetto (bass), and Nate Ward (drums), the band delivers a sound that hits with grit, melody, and emotional weight.
Pulling from the driving alt-rock of the 90s and 2000s, the psychedelic textures of contemporary indie, and the timeless influence of Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and other classic rock giants, The Stone Hounds create music that feels both familiar and fiercely their own. Their songs move from moody, reflective anthems to riff-heavy, cinematic rock built on tight grooves and soaring vocals.
Each track tells a story — from the nostalgic ache of “Skyline” to the psychedelic pulse of “Suzy,” the triumphant rise of “Hey Mister,” and the western-tinged grit of “Modern Man.”
With raw energy, powerful hooks, and a deep respect for the legends who shaped rock’s foundation, The Stone Hounds are carving out a new space in the modern rock landscape. Their debut EP, “Howl,” arrives in early 2026.
