The Summer Fridays is a project launched in 2024 by Chicago-based multi-instrumental and electronic musician Alex Helfers. Started during, and inspired by, his company’s end-of-week PTO policy, Summer Fridays is the product of time spent outside Alex’s advertising career to create analog+electronic music influenced by artists ranging from the late 1990’s-early 2000’s to current EDM performers. He can often be found out on his patio during the summer months, and as late in the season as weather will allow, working on his next release.
