The Tickets were a pop/rock band formed in 1981 soon after I moved to New York City. Members include myself (Scott Wittenburg, bass, vocals,) George Fonteboa, guitar vocals, and Mario Trombetta, drums, percussion. We played our original songs in several clubs regularly including The Other End, SNAFU, Great Gildersleeves and Cartune Alley. Our album, Local Heroes, was recorded entirely on a 4-Track recorder with the exception of our only single, People Next Door, b/w Turn Me Away, which was recorded at Rockbite Studios in Manhattan. We called it quits in 1984 after enjoying nearly three years of gigging and accumulating a number of faithful fans. -Scott Wittenburg
