Formed in the winter of 2010 by long time friends and band mates, Matt Balikian (drums) and Phil Milia (guitar and vocals), The Transmission NOW set out to craft melodic rock songs with power and edge. The duo initially released a self-titled full length LP in late 2012 with former band mate Todd Baldwin (Imidazole, 2000-2004) playing bass. Phil and Matt then recruited Ben Stephens (bass), formerly of Hopeless Records artist Digger. The band has continued to play the tri-state area on bills with some legendary punk groups, including The Vibrators, The Pork Dukes, The Clap, and Richie Ramone (of the legendary Ramones 1983-87). Their 4 song EP, "White Night," recorded and mixed by guitarist/vocalist Phil Milia at Beercan Studios, released on 7" vinyl in the fall of 2014. In 2017, released the 5 song EP entitled "Happy Hour" and recruited guitarist/vocalist Matt Gregorec of Digger and Sound of Reverse to round it out to 4 members. In 2022 Gregorec left the band to pursue other musical opportunities. The band recorded and mixed their upcoming full length release (9/5/22), "Bullseye" as a three piece in Milia's home studio and band rehearsal space, "Beercan Studios."
