The Vacant Eyes were a progressive metal band from Prague, Czech Republic, founded in 2009 by the guitarist and songwriter Martin Bejšovec. The band combined an aggressive riffing, played on 8 string guitars, with melodic post-rockish layers, mostly with a strong melancholic aspect; and used harsh vocals (both screams and growls) as well as clean vocals in their music. Since the release of their second album Technoir in 2015, the band has been on hiatus.
