The Velvet Bug

The Velvet Bug album, Seven Suns, is a modern rock album with songs based on fantasy, legends and occurrences.
The story behind the name, “The Velvet Bug”, is that of a noble cosmic bee that travels to myriad places in the universe in search of the heavenly Nectar of Escape. The Escape here means emancipation in its truest form; Escape from the world of limitation and deception; Escape from the rut of daily life; Escape from the simulacrum that we are all living in. We all want to fly without restriction and burden and to free ourselves from the weight of the world. Music is the vehicle.
Every song in the album is a story of the emancipation we seek in our lives and the fun we can have during discovery. The title song, "Seven Suns (She's a Hunter)", is the discovery of a legendary angelic being with godly powers from Seven Suns, a planet surrounded by seven glorious stars in the seventh dimension and whose sole purpose in life is the protection of the young and innocent. Funny thing is, these beings love to dance to Rock.
Hope over despair and imagination over failure... is my message.
