The Vinylheads

The Vinylheads was a poprock project from Ireland- Chief songwriter was <a href="spotify:artist:4NhV3PeZqb82r58jMgmf5g" data-name="Col Patterson">Col Patterson</a> who wrote songs about love, loss and mental health. His Irish cousins, the Mc Garvey&#39;s from Roscommon and Monaghan,were the backbone of the group and a great support to him during his illness after a One-Punch attack, a theme explored in the powerful <a href="spotify:track:5sMpHdUCOMdckgPDbyHXuJ" data-name="To Kill a Giant">To Kill a Giant</a>. Album Title Track <a href="spotify:track:1ct2JrSthB5078ZMzLLlwH" data-name="Kicks">Kicks</a> was chosen by BBC 6music as their Recommends Track of the Week in 2015 and continues to get radio airplay. The Album was recorded by legendary producer Martin Quinn at Jam Studios Meath.

Col&#39;s songwriting influences include Paul Weller, The Kinks, The Killers, The Doors, The Stranglers, Elbow among others.
Col recorded a follow up album under his own name &quot;<a href="spotify:album:1hVUIVM7SVoqu3nRv94om2" data-name="Hangover Moon">Hangover Moon</a>&quot; in 2017.
