The Vodka Systems

Formed in 2005 by Miss Shona Bipolar, DJ Kethan and Marty Musika, the Vodka Systems were THE local East Kilbride band to feature a proper Diva, Miss Shona Bipolar. A few years later they added good friend Penny Laine to the mix and released their debut album, ‘Liqueur D’Amour’, which is now legendary. However, this turned out to be their only release. The band’s lives went in different directions meaning they left a legacy of unreleased music, which was finally release in 2018, ten years after the first album, as “Chelsea Deluxe”. However an administrative error meant that one of their key songs “A Place in the Sun”, was released as an instrumental. Now in 2021, the TVS have decided to release “A Place in the Sun” as it was intended back in 2006. Recorded when Shona had suffered a serious ankle injury and required surgery, however she provided her Diva vocals, in spite of all the pain. This is however a prelude to a full reunion single later this year! However the band will be reforming as the original trio, Diva Supreme - Shona Bilpolar. DJ Kethan and of course Marty Musika, meaning Penny has decided not to reunite with the band and move on with her life. The Vodka Systems are BACK!
