Liverpool indie pop-rockers The Vow are the brainchild of singer/songwriter Graham Trust. The band made its commercial debut in 2012 with the album <a href="spotify:album:58OclnZq4xYicqtaDbalb2" data-name="For a Dreamer">For a Dreamer</a> then, in successive years, three more albums were released – 2013’s <a href="spotify:album:4AmVlrRlPdhESXftRgasRH" data-name="Bluer Than You">Bluer Than You</a>, 2014’s <a href="spotify:album:1SQE1PCFUQPgd1YH2iTakE" data-name="You Are?">You Are?</a>, and 2015’s <a href="spotify:album:2cw4rJ3ZNENUQPdf0Ur2sQ" data-name="Ghost Writer">Ghost Writer</a>. Their 5th album "Igloo" is scheduled for January 2024. It will include all 17 songs recorded at Igloo Studios.
The band's main influences are <a href="spotify:artist:3WrFJ7ztbogyGnTHbHJFl2" data-name="The Beatles">The Beatles</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0oSGxfWSnnOXhD2fKuz2Gy" data-name="David Bowie">David Bowie</a> but there is a vast array of lesser influence from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:3oDbviiivRWhXwIE8hxkVV" data-name="The Beach Boys">The Beach Boys</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2P560DaOMNDUACoH8ZhOCR" data-name="The Jam">The Jam</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:51Blml2LZPmy7TTiAg47vQ" data-name="U2">U2</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0fgYKF9Avljex0L9Wt5b8Z" data-name="Echo & the Bunnymen">Echo & the Bunnymen</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:36QJpDe2go2KgaRleHCDTp" data-name="Led Zeppelin">Led Zeppelin</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4bthk9UfsYUYdcFyqxmSUU" data-name="Tears For Fears">Tears For Fears</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:320EPCSEezHt1rtbfwH6Ck" data-name="The Monkees">The Monkees</a>.
The Vow are a truly independent unit, having no record company, publisher or representation. Despite that, their music has been streamed many millions of times the world over via fan sites like Jamendo, Audiosparx, Tribe of Noise and Soundreef.
