The Wage Of Sin was an all-female metalcore band formed in Brooklyn in 2000 by guitarist Rachel (<a href="spotify:artist:0znKUm4tIhX5cGPnynkrMu" data-name="Most Precious Blood">Most Precious Blood</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3WdlM6O8p5wxmx3p7hrPHM" data-name="Indecision">Indecision</a>) vocalist Melissa and drummer Vanessa. The original lineup included second guitarist Barbara and bassist Jennifer, who both parted ways with the band in 2002. Laura (All for Nothing) joined the band on bass and solidified the lineup until the group disbanded in 2005.

The Wage Of Sin self-released a four song demo in 2001 and went on to release two albums on Immigrant Sun Records, The Product of Deceit and Loneliness (2002), and A Mistaken Belief in Forever (2003), both recorded by Ron "<a href="spotify:artist:1KGFAcP7ovMYuoQuloDhOj" data-name="Bumblefoot">Bumblefoot</a>" Thal.
The Product of Deceit and Loneliness was the #1 Most Added Record when it debuted on CMJ's Loud Rock Charts and charted at #9. The album was later released in Europe on Burial Records, in Thailand on Elephant Eye Records, and in Lithuania on Kablio Muzika. The track "Self-Infliction" was featured on The Osbournes reality TV show.
In 2004, Germany's Beniihana Records released an enhanced version of A Mistaken Belief in Forever, which included the music video for "Severed". The video played on Much Music and MTV and was nominated as one of the best metal videos on Headbanger's Ball in 2004.
The Wage Of Sin toured across the United States and Europe from 2001 to 2005.
