The Wax Road

The Wax Road is a rock band from Moldova, formed in 2013. So far, the band has released 2 LP albums. The 1st album, RAMBLER IN THE DARK, more hard rock oriented, was released on the 1st of December 2016, the band being heavily inspired, at the time, by bands like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix Experience, QOTSA etc.
The stage is where they shine in the most natural way. Four enthusiastic young men, full of drive and energy, playing the shows at their best. They have performed in 8 countries, during their 2 DIY EU tours in the spring and autumn of 2019. The Wax Road reached the 3rd place at GBOB România 2016 and the 1st place at the Posada Rock contest in 2018. Among the festivals played in Romania and Moldova, the biggest one was Electric Castle (RO) 2017. They also opened for bands like Alternosfera, Luna Amara, Implant Pentru Refuz, Subcarpați, Trisomie 21 etc.

The 2nd album ,PASTILE, was released on June 11, 2022. During the pandemic, they have experimented with digital synthesizers’ sounds and samples and evolved their genre more towards an alternative sound and even some pop touches can be noticed in songs like BE MY WEATHER and OUT OF YOU. The name of the album “Pastile” translates from Romanian as “Pills”, the album itself being as a virtual box of pills for almost all moods, from melancholy to a rock’n roll party excitement with songs like GOOD LIFE and SO MAD.
