The Wild State

The Wild State are an enigmatic band from Brighton. They've created an ethereal debut album, which occupies a place between The National and Bon Iver. From the strength of their initial demos, the band signed a publishing deal with IAMSOUND Music and recorded their debut album ‘Light Along The Waves' in Connecticut, with legendary producer Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Kurt Vile).


During lockdown, the band focused on recording a rendition of The National’s ‘Bloodbuzz Ohio,’ co-produced and mixed by Peter Katis who produced the original song. “In sweeping harmonies, this cover of “Bloodbuzz Ohio” brings reflection to its knees in The Wild State’s own signature sound.” - Atwood Magazine


With new original material in the works, TWS hone and develop their expansive sound further and take their songwriting to new heights.
