thegoodnews. is a California based group founded by partners Del The Funky Homosapien, producer CTZN, rapper Po3 and illustrator Pete Cosmos. The squad, often presented in cartoon form, also includes bass & fx guru Juan Alderete & guitarist/producer Taka Tozawa.
In Spring of 2025, the group announced a joint venture with NYC’s Nature Sounds label and debuted the singles avg.hype (from a forthcoming tba LP) and fakebreaker which preceded the 7-track EP This Just In!. The project debuted on a (quickly sold-out) picture disk vinyl, as an official Record Store Day 2025 selection and later followed on streaming.
