Theresa
Theresa is a singer songwriter from Louth. From a young age, Theresa studied classical piano and singing. After studying a B.A (hons) Music in DkIT, Theresa began writing and finding her sound. Her music has a fresh sound with a passion for theatrics, jazz, and dramatic song and lyrics. Theresa’s voice has been compared to the likes of Hannah Reid (London Grammar) , Lady Gaga and Eva Cassidy. Her main influences include, Tom Odell, Marina and the Diamonds, Lady Gaga, Sarah Vaughan and Freddie Mercury to name a few. Theresa has performed in The Academy, Dublin (2013), The Millennium Opera House, Cardiff (2013) , Vantastival (2016) and also locally in venues such as The Spirit Store Dundalk, The Grey Goose, Odd Mollies, and McPhails, Drogheda. After a hiatus on the original music scene, Theresa is back with a bang in the summer of 2018. On the 23rd of June 2018, Theresa released her debut single ‘impossible.’ It peaked at number 3 (23-25/06/2018) in the singer-songwriter iTunes chart and number 27 on the over all iTunes chart on 23/06/2018.
She is now currently back in the studio recording her E.P entitled “Sidney” which is due for release in early Autumn 2018.
