thescape is a Helsinki-based rock band founded by Asko Sartanen and Tuomas Oksanen in 2009. After getting full band together they started to play gigs around the capital area. In 2012 they participated in an international band competition Emergenza. thescape played in the finals at Nosturi Club in May 2012.
In October 2013 the band released their first official release ”thescape EP”, recorded by Jaakko Eskelinen. Also a music video was shot and released in September 2013.
Year 2014 saw some line-up changes including a new lead singer and drummer. After playing a few gigs the band released their new EP ”Stranger” with the new line-up in September 2016. ”The Stranger” music video was released also in September 2016.
