TheThomas is basically songwriter, musician and singer Thomas V. Kirkeby, neatly put together under the label TheThomas. More a studio musician than a stage act, TheThomas would love to play a really big stage once, if only to say that he did.
TheThomas first appeared in the public eye in the summer of 2018 with the song "@Nå Er Det Vm" (Now it's the World Cup").
A couple of months later he released the song "<a href="spotify:album:2DjDKo6phy4gLyfZ06tSEt" data-name="Hakke råd til ring (på grunn av bompengering)">Hakke råd til ring (på grunn av bompengering)</a>" (Can't afford a ring because of the toll roads), which awarded him some publicity. The Norwegian website Natt&Dag called it a "power demonstration of a humor song".
TheThomas took an involuntary break until the release of "<a href="spotify:album:3B4prU0zknavjRFFTerqk6" data-name="The Corona Song (Redemption)">The Corona Song (Redemption)</a>" summer of 2020. Another surprising turn in genre came in the summer of 2021, with the release of the garage rock driven, slightly psychedelic "@My Car". Later that year saw the release of a song inspired by that years new James Bond movie, a song called "<a href="spotify:album:3kPDFZ1Dfhsc5Z7zXz8NyA" data-name="James Bond i Hakadal">James Bond i Hakadal</a>".
In 2024 TheThomas returned with two new singles, "@Sometimes I Only Wanna Die" and "@The Sadness In Me".
A new single, "Be Mine", is released 12 February.
