They Ate Isengard came to being in mid- 2009, when songwriter and multi-instrumentalist/singer <a href="spotify:artist:5I3o54Brzjv3TLSttXbymi" data-name="Harvey Parker">Harvey Parker</a> (back then, lead singer/composer of deathcore band "Crikey! My Kneecaps!") decided to learn how to record and produce music by himself. Learning to work his DAW's, Parker created a strange blend of industrial electronic music and grindcore accompanied by his deathcore-style screaming. The songs soon spread on MySpace, to both great and horrible reviews, which inspired him to continue and polish his ideas, and They Ate Isengard was born. In March 2016, Parker officially announced the project on hiatus due to health reasons, until further notice.
