Thiago Nassif is a musician, composer and music producer active in the emerging Brazilian new music scene. His sound research is also recognized in Europe and the USA for the mix of Brazilian, Pop and No-Wave rhythms. The songs are crossed by diverse activities incorporating aspects extracted from diffuse expressions of contemporary art, guitar loops, electronics, percussions, collage, timbers, textures, and the use of sound engineering techniques as a compositional element. During his career he released four albums, his third album “Três” (2016) and fourth “Mente” (2020) were co-produced by no-wave icon Arto Lindsay and were released respectively by Foom (UK) and Gearbox Records (UK) labels. “Mente" has received international critical acclaim (NY Times, The Wire, Pitchfork and BBC) being quoted by Iggy Pop and Thurston Moore. He recently toured Europe playing at festivals such as Le Guess Who? (NL), Resonator (DK) and Weekender (BE), expanding his pop, no-wave, kraut-samba-funk.
