Thakgatsho Junior Masotla, also known as THAKGI, is an Amapiano producer who hails from a small township named Kaalfontain in Midrand. Born in a family of singers and instrumentalists ,mentioning one great gospel singer and pastor and also an uncle to THAKGI, the great Jonas Masotla also inspired THAKGI.THAKGI has always been surrounded by music. Young Thakgatsho first picked up drumsticks at the tender age of three and has never looked back. By 2018, the multi-instrumentalist would venture into producing Deep house . Before pivoting to amapiano in late 2021, THAKGI had also dabbled into Afro tech. In late 2024, he released his biggest song yet called All you need is private school piano, which opened opportunities in the music industry. He releases his first debut album called Pantsula4Life, which contains hits like all you need is private school piano and more hits. THAKGI is still upcoming, but the future is bright for him, and many more are expected from the young man.His musice was later taken down but is surely coming back with something hot
