Thomas Hazey

Thomas Hazey is a South African Recording Artist, Songwriter & occasional beat-maker from Boksburg, Gauteng - born 18 March 1997.

A core member of the music collective Frequency Manipulation (FM), founded alongside fellow long-time collaborator <a href="spotify:artist:5V96cFSoUb8HiK3d4HIHEq" data-name="Daev Martian">Daev Martian</a>, Hazey has been recording &amp; releasing music on the Internet from as early as 2010.

Hazey is a somewhat introspective, thoughtful &amp; talented urban artist who&#39;s ready to stand besides anybody who actually believes they can rap, move a crowd &amp; engage with their audience meaningfully.

As Hazey would put it himself - &quot; My aim is to always express myself, my ideas and how I feel, in the most appropriate way at that particular moment. Sometimes that may be over trap-esque beats, other times it may be over more melodic and downtempo beats - and sometimes neither. I don&#39;t like boxing myself in, at least not sonically. I&#39;m just an intentional writer who enjoys putting words together in ways that make sense to me and my intended audience &quot;

Hazey&#39;s catalogue is evidence of such - his appetite for putting words together &amp; reinventing his approach to song, is undeniable.

Hazey gained some notoriety after being featured on Daev Martian&#39;s <a href="spotify:album:1sHw7GEWtvnnTQpEhXRbnm" data-name="Frequency Manipulation">Frequency Manipulation</a> album, as one of the only features on the album. The music video for the above song premiered on Complex UK (late 2017)
