Thomas Hood

Thomas Hood is an electronic musician from South Florida who creates story-driven electronic music. Each of Hood's releases have their own theme, style of music, and story. When composing, he draws inspiration from the stories themselves and implements sounds based on the theme of the project. For example, Thomas' debut album "Sounds of Life" is a story about spending a day through nature. In this project, he samples real-life sounds heard in nature, such as birds chirping, leaves rustling, rain, wind, etc, to make the album feel alive. He does something similar to this in his EP "Moments with Maci", where he recorded his cousin's daughter and used her voice throughout each track. This EP tells the story of the moments that he spent with her, so recording her voice was essential for the theme and overall sound of the project. This is part of his "Short Stories" project, which released from 2019-2021. In 2023, he released his 3rd album "Can I have a word?".
