Thoracius Appotite is a musician and video artist based out of Reykjavik, Iceland. His music is steeped in experimental lo-fi, psych-pop, synth-pop, good old-fashioned rock'n'roll. He is a devout, lifelong indie DIYer.

In the 2000s he fronted the Southern California surf/garage rock band, Monsters From Mars. In the 2010s he lead the Reykjavik-based indie-/psych-pop band, Just Another Snake Cult. He has also been a member of bands such as James Rabbit, The Legends Of Brass, Benni Hemm Hemm, and Knife Fights. He has produced albums for Árni Vil and Dr Gunni. He is also known for his popular patch banks ("preset packs") available for various synthesizers.
