Chad Stephens started playing guitar at the age of 14 and quickly realized music was the answer to his every question. He has many years of garage band dreams and false starts under his belt. Yet over time, he had become comfortable with quietly working on his own music on his own terms.
After the loss of a close friend to cancer, he found himself pulled back into group work with the band Magnolia Hill. Creative differences and the pandemic made for a fiery and productive combination that ultimately burnt itself out. From those ashes, Those Damned Jackdaw Saints was born.
Those Damned Jackdaw Saints is a solo project, created by Chad to produce music that defies categorization. His influences range from Prince, The Doors, Queen, Extreme, Ritchie Kotzen, The Allman Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, and The Black Crowes, while still appreciating newer artists such as All Them Witches, Band of Skulls, Marcus King, Rival Songs, and the Kings of Leon. With Those Damned Jackdaw Saints, he has taken on the roles of singer-songwriter, guitarist, bass player, programmer, producer, mixer, mastering and whatever else has to be done in order to share his music.
